0 <br />September 7, 2000 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met in Special <br />Session at the County Commission Chambers, 1840 251 Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on <br />Thursday, September 7, 2000, to hold a public hearing continued from September 5, 2000, <br />on a proposed ordinance regarding the levy of an additional one -cent Tourist Development <br />Tax and to consider resolutions and agreements concerning the purchase, leaseback and <br />development of property and facilities known as Dodgertown. Present were Fran B. Adams, <br />Chairman; Caroline D. Ginn, Vice Chairman; Kenneth R Macht; Ruth Stanbridge; and John <br />W. Tippin. Also present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Paul G. Bangel, <br />County Attorney; and Patricia Ridgely, Deputy Clerk. Also present were newly -promoted <br />Vice President of Spring Training/Minor League Facilities Craig B. Callan (formerly <br />Director of Dodgertown), Special Counsel Robert C. Reid, and Assistant County <br />Administrator Joseph A. Baird. <br />Chairman Adams called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. and welcomed everyone. <br />She announced that staff would make a presentation on all items and then there would be <br />time for questions and comments and public input. <br />1.
