RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the following: <br />• Award the bid to AES Inc of California of. Tampa. Florida as the overall low bidder <br />meeting specifications as set forth in the Invitation to Bid. <br />• Establish an Open End Contract with AES Inc of California. Tarnoa. Florida with a not to <br />exceed amount of $20,000 for the period October 1, 2000 through September 30, 2001. <br />• Authorize the Purchasing Manager to renew this contract for two (2) additional one (1) year <br />periods subject to satisfactory performance, zero cost increase, vendor acceptance and the <br />determination that renewal of this annual contract is in the best interest of the County. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Stanbridge, the Board <br />unanimously awarded Bid #3006 to AES, Inc.; <br />authorized staff to establish an open end contract <br />with AES, Inc. with a not -to -exceed amount of <br />$20,000 for the period October 1, 2000 through <br />September 30,2001; and authorized the Purchasing <br />Manager to renew this contract for two (2) additional <br />one (1) year periods subject to satisfactory <br />performance, zero cost increase, vendor acceptance <br />and the determination that renewal of this annual <br />contract is in the best interest of the County; all as <br />recommended by staff. <br />BID DOCUMENTS WILL BE ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />WHEN EXECUTED AND RECEIVED <br />SEPTEMBER 12, 2000 <br />-15- <br />BK 115 PG 062 <br />J <br />
