Sean McGuire, P.E. <br />Project Engineer (-_L k. <br />SUBJECT: Round Island Oceanfront Park <br />Change Order No. 2 and Final Payment (Release of Retainage) <br />DATE: September 6, 2000 <br />DES_C_RIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />This project was awarded to Summit Construction Management. Inc. on December 21, 1999 for <br />5831.084.41, and the work was substantially complete on July 14, 2000. All "punch list" items <br />have been corrected, permits closed, and close-out documentation submitted. <br />Change Order No. 2 shows increases in the amount of $17.226.31 and decreases in the amount of <br />($11,539.98) making this change order a net add in the amount of $5,686.33. <br />Summit Construction has requested, and is entitled to, full payment of the contract amount, and <br />release of retainage in the amount of $83,497.77. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends approval of the attached Change Order No. 2 which increases the contract in the <br />amount of $5,686.33. This added to the current contract amount of $829.291.40, results in a new <br />contract amount of 5834,977.73. <br />Staff further recommends approval of Application for Payment Nos. 8 and 9 which authorize <br />payment of 100% of the contract amount and release retainage in the amount of $83,497.77. <br />SEPTEMBER 129 2000 <br />-54- Bu 115 PG 101 <br />0 0 <br />
