• <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Stanbridge, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously (4-0, Vice <br />Chairman Ginn absent) adopted Resolution No. 2000-123 <br />setting a time and place at which the owners of properties <br />located in the Sebastian Phase III -A Water Expansion Area (in <br />an area south of Caravan Terrace with Periwinkle Drive along <br />the south and west) and other interested persons, may appear <br />before the Board of County Commissioners and be heard as to <br />the propriety and advisability of constructing the water main <br />extension, as to the cost thereof, as to the manner of payment <br />therefor, and as to the amount thereof to be specially assessed <br />against each property benefitted thereby. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000 - 12 1_ <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, SETTING A TIME <br />AND PLACE AT WHICH THE OWNERS OF PROPERTIES LOCATED IN <br />THE SEBASTIAN PHASE III -A WATER EXPANSION AREA (IN AN AREA <br />SOUTH OF CARAVAN TERRACE WITH PERIWINKLE DRIVE ALONG THE <br />SOUTH AND WEST) AND OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS, MAY <br />APPEAR BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND BE <br />HEARD AS TO THE PROPRIETY AND ADVISABILITY OF <br />CONSTRUCTING THE WATER MAIN EXTENSION, AS TO THE COST <br />THEREOF, AS TO THE MANNER OF PAYMENT THEREFOR, AND AS TO - — <br />THE AMOUNT THEREOF TO BE SPECIALLY ASSESSED AGAINST EACH <br />PROPERTY BENEFITED THEREBY. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County has, by <br />Resolution No. 2000-J_22_, determined that it is necessary for the public welfare of the citizens <br />of the county, and particularly as to those living, working, and owning property within the area <br />described hereafter, that a waterline be installed to serve 773 parcels located in an area south <br />of Caravan Terrace with Periwinkle Drive along the south and west; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that the cost to be specially assessed with respect <br />thereto shall be $0.202375 per square foot; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has caused an assessment roll to be <br />completed and filed with the Clerk to the Board; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 206.06, Indian River County Code, requires that the Board of <br />County Commissioners shall fix a time and place at which the owners of the properties to be <br />assessed or any other persons interested therein may appear before the Board of County <br />October 3, 2000 <br />105 <br />• <br />
