NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River County, Florida, as follows: <br />Paragraph 1 of Resolution 91-93 of the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River County is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />There is hereby created an Emergency Services District <br />Advisory Committee to be composed of ten (10) members with <br />membership and the initial terms of office as follows: <br />One member of the Board of County Commissioners <br />selected by the Board of County Commissioners for a term <br />which is coterminous with his/her present term on the Board of <br />County Commissioners, who shall serve as chairman of the <br />Emergency Services District Advisory Committee; <br />Five members, each one appointed respectively by a <br />member of the Board of County Commissioners for initial terms <br />of four (4) years, such appointments being announced at a <br />meeting or meetings of the Board of County Commissioners; <br />Four members, each one appointed respectively by the <br />city councils of the City of Fellsmere, the Town of OrcHiid, the <br />City of Sebastian, and the City of Vero Beach, for initial terms <br />of two (2) years. <br />Following the initial terms, all members' terms, except <br />that of the member of the Board of County Commissioners, <br />whose term shall be coterminous with his/her term on the <br />Board of County Commissioners, shall be four (4) years. <br />2. Paragraph 4 of Resolution 91-93 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />The Indian River County Emergency Services District <br />Advisory Committee shall be governed by such laws, <br />ordinances, and resolutions, that govern such advisory boards. <br />3. This resolution shall become effective upon the adoption thereof by the Board <br />of County Commissioners. Current members of the Indian River County Emergency <br />Services District Advisory Committee shall be relieved of their duties as members thereof, <br />effective at such time as the reconstituted Emergency Services District Advisory Committee <br />holds its first meeting, without further action of the Board of County Commissioners to <br />discharge them. <br />October 3, 2000 <br />111 <br />o ■ • <br />
