• <br />The purpose of the partial easement release request is to allow for an existing swimming pool <br />foundation and screen enclosure that was in advertently built within the easement (see attached <br />maps). <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The request has been reviewed by Bell South Communications, Florida Power & Light Corporation; <br />T.C.I. Cable Corporation; the Indian River County Utilities Department; the Copelands Landing <br />Property Owners Association (POA), the County Road & Bridge and Engineering Divisions; and the <br />County surveyor. None of those agencies has any objection to the proposed partial easement <br />release. <br />The subject drainage easement is dedicated to the Copelands Landing POA for maintenance <br />purposes. Although the POA has indicated no objection to the partial easement release, the <br />applicant will need to obtain a formal release of the easement portion from the POA as well as the <br />County. If the Board approves the partial easement release, staff will advise the applicant, via a <br />comment on an easement release approval letter, of the applicant's need to obtain the formal POA <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board, through adoption of the attached resolution, release the westerly <br />five-foot portion of the rear drainage and utility easement of Lot 32 of Copelands Landing <br />Subdivision Phase I, as more particularly described in said resolution. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />I .
