Keating, AICP <br />Community Development irecto <br />10 <br />FROM: Stan Boling, AICP <br />Planning Director <br />DATE: September 27, 2000 <br />SUBJECT: Appointment of North Barrier Island Corridor Plan Task Force <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal consideration by the Board of County <br />Commissioners at its regular meeting of October 3, 2000. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At its July 18, 2000 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners adopted special corridor plan <br />requirements for the portion of the Wabasso Corridor Plan area that lies east of US #1 along CR 510, <br />and directed staff to initiate establishment and appointment of members for a North Barrier Island <br />Corridor Plan Task Force (see attachment #1). The purpose of such a task force is to formulate and <br />help implement a corridor plan, based upon the Wabasso and CR 510 East Corridor Plan <br />requirements, for the north barrier island area that runs along CR 510, and SR A -1-A north of the <br />Town of Indian River Shores.
