October 9, 2000 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met in Special <br />Session at the County Commission Chambers, 1840 25' Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on <br />Monday, October 9, 2000. Present were Fran B. Adams, Chairman; Caroline D. Ginn, Vice <br />Chairman; Kenneth R Macht; Ruth Stanbridge; and John W. Tippin. Also present were <br />James E. Chandler, CountyAdministrator; William G. Collins, H, Deputy County Attorney; <br />and Patricia Ridgely, Deputy Clerk. Additional staff members in attendance included <br />Community Development DirectorRobert M. Keating, Planning Director StanBoling, Long - <br />Range Planning Chief Sasan Rohani, and Long -Range Senior Planner John Wachtel. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. advising that this was a public <br />hearing and "workshop meeting" to consider options regarding the County's urban service <br />area and Gerald Clontz's request to rezone his property located on the southwest comer of <br />the intersection of the Main Canal and 58' Avenue (Kings Highway).
