Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Agreement between St. Johns' River Water Management District <br />and Indian River County for the Development of the East Indian <br />River County Stormwater Management Plan <br />DATE: August 28, 2000 <br />77777*17 <br />In December, 1999, the Public Works Department applied for a St. <br />Johns River Water Management Cost -Share grant in the amount of <br />$120,000 to -fund a Master Stormwater Management Plan for the East <br />Indian River County (Indian River Farms Water Control District) <br />watershed. The County match for the grant is $40,000 for an <br />estimated project cost of $160,000. Since receiving the grant last <br />spring, the staffs from the County, SJRWMD, IRFWCD, City of Vero <br />Beach, and Calpine Corporation have been develop%ng a multi-party <br />scope -of -work. The Scope is now complete, and the agreement <br />(including scope) between the St. Johne River Water Management <br />District and the County is submitted herewith for Board approval. <br />The agreement requires the County to complete the Management Plan <br />in one year, with the provision that a time extension can be <br />granted if agreed by both parties. Even though much of the <br />stormwater modeling is currently being done by ECT (a consultant of <br />Calpine Corp.), this schedule is very aggressive.
