McCoy, AICP �� <br />Senior Planner, Current�evelohpment <br />DATE: October 17, 2000 <br />SUBJECT: The Gralia Group's Request to Rezone Approximately 297 Acres of Property <br />from RS -3 (Single -Family up to 3 units/acre), to PD (Planned Development) and <br />to Receive Conceptual PD Plan Approval for a Development to be Known as <br />The Colony <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal consideration by the Board of County <br />Commissioners at its regular meeting of October 24, 2000. <br />DESCRIPTION & CONDITIONS: <br />This is a request by The Gralia Group, through its agent Knight, McGuire and Associates, Inc., to <br />rezone approximately 297 acres. All of the project's acreage (297 acres) is currently zoned RS -3. <br />As part of the rezoning request, a conceptual PD plan has been submitted for review and approval. <br />The subject site is located between 27th Avenue and 43nd Avenue on the east and west, and 13' Street <br />SW and 17th Street SW on the north and south. The purpose of this request is to secure a zoning <br />which allows construction of single family and multi -family dwellings, an 18 hole golf course and <br />driving range, and clubhousetrecreation facility. <br />-42- <br />• <br />_I <br />
