BANK OF SEBASTIAN: <br />Mothers Pension Fund <br />Publicity Fund. <br />Spec R & B Dist No.1 (Int & Sink.) <br />Depository Bond fixed at #5,000.00 <br />VERO BANK & TRUST COMPANY <br />Interest & Sinking Fund. <br />Depository Bond fixed at 4010.,000..00. <br />There being no further business, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was <br />ordered the Board stand adjourned until the regular meeting in August. <br />The Board then adjourned until Tuesday, August 4th 1925. <br />ATTEST: <br />C l e r k. <br />TUESDAY, AUGUST 4th 1925. <br />At a regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners inand for Indian <br />River County, Florida, held in the Court House in Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday <br />August 4th 1925, the follovuing members of the Board were present: John H Atkin, <br />Chairman, 0. 0. Helseth, J. W. LaBruce, Donald Forbes and G A Braddock. Also present <br />Were Niles 'Marren, Clerk and J. W. Knight, Sheriff. <br />The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. <br />The time haing arrived for the opening of bids for the $50,000. time warrants <br />issued by the County for the purpose of paying the ordinary and extraordinary expenses <br />of the County, the bid of the Farmers Bank of Vero was opened and read as follows: <br />"Vero, Fla. Aug 4, 1925. <br />Mr Niles Warren, Clerk, <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />Indian River County. <br />Vero Beach, Florida. <br />Dear Sir:- For your $50,000.00 of time warrants offered for sale this date, we will <br />pay you the sum of $50,000.00 and accreted interest to date of delivery to us. <br />As evidence of our good faith, we are enclosing herewith our check for $500.00 <br />being in accordance with your advertisement, a copy of which is attached herewith and <br />made a part of this bid. <br />Very truly yours, <br />F. L. Knight, <br />Vice President." <br />On motion of Commissioner Forbes, seconded by Commissioner Braddock, it was <br />ordered, by unanimous vote, that the bid be accepted. <br />A petition signed by J. H. Sutherland and 67 others was presented askeng that a <br />road be constructed along the present right-of-way paralleling Sub -lateral #20, from <br />the present East road, West, to the Park Lateral Bridge on Sub -Lateral #20, and from <br />a point on said road to construct a road running North to the South boundary of the <br />Town of Fellsmere to connect with the termination of the Street "Broadway". <br />It was ordered that the petition be filed, Commissioner LaBruce advising the <br />Board it was his intention to build and repair this road immediately after repairing <br />the present hard surfaced road within his district. <br />Itvwas unanimously ordered that the matter of; copying plats, maps and etc. from <br />St Lucie County, be referred to the County Engineer to work in conjunction with the <br />Tax Assessor and they are authorized to have prepared copies of all plats and maps <br />affedting the territory embracing Indian River County.
