Tuesday, May 7th <br />1935, with the <br />following members of the Board presents J. d. P. Hamilton, tmairman; Frank u. Vickers; <br />H. S. Madge; X. P. Poole and bdwin A, Helseth, also present were Chas A. xitchell, <br />attorney; t n. w. Frick, Sheriff and Niles warren, clerk. <br />The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved. <br />G. K. Murdoch, representing the County ;school board appeared and requested the am <br />of $3500.00 of the race track funds to be given the School Board. This request was <br />under consideration And advisement. <br />H. H. Hi eld appeared before the Board and presented the following Road Petitions <br />ROAD PBTITION* <br />STATE OF FLORIDA <br />s <br />0 OUBTY OF L I JW IAN RIVER) <br />TO THE HONOBAB?A BOAHD OF COUNTY COMKIS31OBBILS OF SAID COUNTY: <br />Cie nt lemen: - <br />se, the undersigned citizens of the County of Indian h1ver, State of Florida, <br />respectfully represent that the necessities of the public require a County Road to be <br />laid out as follows,. to. -wits <br />"That extension of Glendale Avenue be made along the south Bank of sublateral <br />ditch C-1 instead of along the Borth bank thereof, and in return for the said establish- <br />ment of road extension along south bank of sublateral 0-19 undersigned, Horace H. Hield, <br />party agrees to furnish .tractor power necessary to grade said read extension for one - <br />mile in extent. Said road right-of-way to be not less than 50 fte in width. <br />we therefore petition your honorable body to cause to be laid out and opened a <br />County Road <br />as above <br />described, and we, the owners of <br />the land through <br />which said Road <br />Is sought to <br />be laid <br />out, in consideration of the sun <br />of Une dollar to <br />us each and <br />severally in hand paid by the said County of Indian River, the receipt of which Is <br />hereby acknowledged, hereby agree to give the right-of-way through our lands, as shown <br />by the plat accompanying this petition, and relinquish all,:caaims for damages by reason <br />thereof. <br />Horace H Hi eld <br />Merrill Barber <br />Y.
