9:03 2. Add: Revised Imposition Article 34 (Salaries) <br />a.m. Firefighters/Paramedics Association Local 2201, International <br />Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) <br />(Clerk's Note: This item was heard following Item 4 <br />Additions/Deletions to the Agenda/Emergency Items, and is <br />placed here for continuity). <br />Director of Emergency Services John King and Richard <br />Ridge, Vice President, Local 2201, addressed the Board <br />conjointly. They asked the Board to reconsider its legislative <br />action taken at the March 20, 2015 Impasse Resolution <br />Hearing with regards to Article 34 Salaries, and approve the <br />revised Imposition Article 34 Salaries. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Solari, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously approved to <br />reconsider the Board's March 20, 2015 legislative action on <br />Article 34 Salaries. <br />Vice Chairman Solari pointed out that the cost of living <br />increase would go from three percent (3%), as approved on <br />March 20, 2015, to five and one-half percent (5 %%) in the <br />revised Article 34. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Vice Chairman Solari, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Flescher, to approve the <br />Revised Imposition Article 34 Salaries, which includes a five <br />and one-half percent (5 %%) cost of living increase, and a <br />revised step increase plan. <br />County Attorney Dylan Reingold confirmed with Vice <br />Chairman Solari that his Motion was inclusive of the entire <br />Paragraph 34.02 in Article 34 Salaries. <br />Bob Johnson, Coral Wind Subdivision, sought and received a <br />clarification on the contract year. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />9:10 3. Add: Funding for a Temporary Housing Facility for Station No. 7 <br />a.m. <br />Chairman Davis wanted to ensure that there would be no <br />delay in providing the County Administrator with the means <br />to secure a temporary facility for Fire Station 7. <br />213A - <br />213K <br />Emergency Services District Page 2 <br />April 7, 2015 <br />
