1 <br />L, <br />1 <br />M <br />wit': <br />COnmIssioner Mudge introduced the following resolution and mored its adaption, to. - <br />Whereas, Chapter 194€31, Laws of Florida as adopted by the Florida Legislature in the <br />year 1935 directs the Tax Collector in all Counties in the State of Florida to receive and ac- <br />sept when offered, all bonds, delinquent interest coupons or other delinquent obligations of <br />such Counties or Districts therein in payment of all lions or evidence of delinquent taxes due <br />to such Counties or Districts and which were levied for the paament of interest or for sinking <br />fund on said bends or other obligations offered and in payment of all current taxes levied for <br />the payment of interest or -for sinking fund on said bonds or other obligations provided that <br />the bonds or other obligations of one District shall be accepted only in payment of taxes lev- <br />led for the interest and sinking fund of that District and that the obligations of one District <br />shall not be accepted in payment of a tax levied for another District; and <br />Whereas, Florida Fast Coast Railway has 9ffered to settle its taxes levied on its <br />property in Indian River County, Florida for the years 1934 and 1935 and -which said taxes are <br />payable to the Tax Collector of Indian River County, Florida and has offered bonds or delin- <br />quent interest coupons of Atlantic -Gulf Special Road and Bridge District in settlement of tax <br />levies made by said District for interest and sinking fund purposes and has offered bonds or <br />delinquent interest coupons of Felismere Gross State Road District in payment of tax,levies <br />made by said District for interest and sinking fund purposes and has offered to pay other taxea <br />levied against it for said years at the time of so paying the taxes specifically mentioned; <br />WHMEASi said Atlantic -Gulf Special Road and Bridge District and Felismere Cross <br />State Road District levied a tax upon property located in Indian River County, Florida and <br />levied the tax in said County which is sought to bep aid by the Florida East Coast Railway and <br />the tax so levied is upon property in Indian River County• Florida and upon the property which <br />is a part of said districts in said County= therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Tax Collector of Indian River County, Florida is herewith <br />requested and directed, pursuant to said act, to accept said obligations in settlement of said <br />Interest and sinking fund levies pursuant to said offer, and agrees to hold the Tax Gollector <br />harmless against any refusal to accept said Bonds and Interest coupons by the State Treasurer. <br />Gomissioner Vickers seconded the motion for the adaption of the Resolution and upon <br />roll call it was unanimously adopted. <br />The several bills and accounts against the Countyhaving been audited, were examined, and <br />round corrept+ etre approved and warrants oi.ered issued in settlement of same. Such bills <br />arid accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk Circuit Court. The warrants so issued <br />from the respective funds being listed in the supplemental minute book as required by the <br />rules and practice of the State auditing Department reference to said record and the list so <br />recorded being made a pert of these minutes. <br />The County Depository filed its monthly statement showing receipts and disbursements of <br />the various funds, which was found to be correct. <br />There being no further business on motiolir made, <br />No nday, Febr�. ary 19th 1936. <br />a�11// / <br />s s s • - ft - W <br />and adopted <br />seconded/ the Board th+iadjourned until <br />I F AV it <br />'m )200144 t, L <br />
