RESOLUTION NO. 2015- o71 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />DECLARING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM TO BE A <br />WORKABLE PROGRAM FOR PROVIDING <br />IMPROVEMENTS FOR LOW -TO -MODERATE INCOME <br />HOUSEHOLDS; AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN <br />APPLICATION, AND ALL NECESSARY APPLICATION <br />MATERIALS, TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF <br />ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR APPROVAL OF THE <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY CDBG; AUTHORIZING LOCAL <br />REVENUES AS CDBG LEVERAGE; FINDING THE CDBG <br />APPLICATION CONSISTENT WITH THE <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, WHICH SHALL SERVE AS <br />THE CDBG DEVELOPMENT PLAN; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is experiencing a need for physical improvements to <br />benefit low -to -moderate income households; and <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant program is a program that can <br />be utilized to provide needed physical improvements to benefit low -to -moderate income <br />households; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT: <br />Section 1. The above "WHEREAS" clauses are true and correct, and are hereby adopted <br />as findings of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County (the "Board"). <br />Section 2. The Community Development Block Grant (the "CDBG") program is <br />declared to be a workable program for providing needed physical improvements to benefit low - <br />to -moderate income households indicated in the proposed Fiscal Funding Year (FFY) 2014 <br />CDBG application. <br />Section 3.
