1 <br />1 <br />f <br />8:3 <br />SATURDAYi JAINARY 2nd 1937. <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, mot at the <br />Court House in Vero Beach, at 11:00 o'clock A. M. Saturday, January 2nd 1937, *i*k-the <br />in regular adjourned meeting, with the following members of the Board present, J.J.P.Hamil- <br />ton, Chaixmpn; Frank C. Vickors; E. P. Poole and Edwin A. Helseth. Abvort-R.E.Mudge. <br />Also present were Mm. W. Frick, Sheriff; Chas A. Mitchell, Attorney for the Board and Miles <br />Marren, Clerk. <br />The minutes of the meetings of December lot and 15th were read and ,approved. <br />RE SO LUT I 0 X. <br />The following resolution was intr.-duced by Commissioner Helseth, who moved its <br />adoption: <br />tREAS, the State Board of Administration has submitted certain proposals of indivi- <br />duals, firms and corporations offering to sell to said Board of Administration certain <br />bonds of Indian River County, and obligations assumed by said County, under the provisions <br />Of House Bill No. 30, acts of the 1933 Legislature, and <br />REAS, after carefully considering all of such proposals, and taking into considern- <br />tion the amount of funds available for that purpose, and the approximate value of said bonds <br />and obligations, it is deemed advisable and expedient to purchase certain of said bonds <br />and obligations, to -*it: <br />Two (2) Special R&B Dist #4 bonds dated July 1, 1925, due 1936, at a <br />price of 91 with July 1936 and subsequent coupons attached, as desig- <br />nated offering "A* <br />One (1) St Lucie County Public Highway 6% bond dated Feb 19 19209 due <br />Feb 1, 1945 at 85 flat, as designated offering "D". <br />One 'St Lucie County R&B Negotiable Note, issue of August 1923, due <br />August 1934, at a price of 90, with no past due coupons as designated <br />offering "F". <br />THEIMFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, that theme State Board <br />of Administration be requested to purchase all the secutities listed above at the price <br />quoted. <br />The resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Vickers, ard upon being put to a vote <br />the same was unanimously adopted. <br />The Tax Assessor and Clerk presented a bill of the Florida Inland Navigation District <br />for the sum of $117.099 as <br />a difference <br />in <br />assessing homestead property on account of the <br />said Navigation District, <br />and explained <br />it <br />is of advantage to pay this item from the Outstand- <br />ing Indebtedness fund. The Bill was duly approved and ordered paid. <br />The Clerk -filed his reports of fees and commissions for the periods January 1, to June <br />30th 1936 and also July, let 1936 to December 31st 193&., which were ordered filed with the <br />Bo and. <br />The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examined <br />and found correct were approved, and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. ,Such <br />bills and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk Circuit Court. The warrants <br />issued from the respective funds being listed in the supplemental minute book as required <br />by the rules and practice of the State Auditing Department, reference to said record and <br />the list so recorded beiT made a, part of these minutes. <br />The County Depository filed Its monthly statement, showing receipts and disbursements <br />of the various funds which having been audited was found to be correct. <br />There being no further business the Board then adjourned. <br />s <br />ATTE 6t Ir <br />�9 6-71—) - <br />Ch ai mmn <br />C 1 e rk. <br />
