<br />that the Board advertise for bids on Drag Line Machine according to specificatiofts as outline8g
<br />in notice and that bids. -will be received up to 10:00 o'clock A.M. Tuesday May 25th. 1937.
<br />Mr.'Arthur Hillbrath representing the Dixie Culvert & Metal Co, appeared before the
<br />Board with reference to Armco Culverts Asbestos Bonded and Bituminous Coated, and it was or-
<br />dered that said culverts be purchased for the sum of- $220.00. �
<br />Mro Lloyd L.Nelson appeared before the Board and requested that a bridge be cogstru•i
<br />cted over a lateral west of nth*s tourist camp which would be necessary in order that he
<br />have access to•his property which consisted of -about 40 acres and that he -intended to build a !
<br />home on said"property in the near future. Frank A,Knight, Road Superintendant, stated it woul&
<br />cost approximately $150#00 to build a suitable bridge and after consideration the Board order
<br />ed the bridge built. j
<br />Applications for Mothers' pension were submitted by Elizabeth McNeal, Winter Beach,
<br />Fla. and Ethel Chappell Peddie, Fero Beach, Fla. and after careful consideration the Board
<br />approved both applications and it was -ordered that Mrs. McNeal receive the sum of $15.00 per
<br />month and Mrs. Peddie to receive the sum of $10.00 per month until the further orders of the
<br />Board. - .
<br />RESOLUTION,
<br />The following resolution was introduced by Commissioner Vickers, who moved its ad-
<br />option:
<br />WMEAS, The State Board of Administration has submitted certain proposals.of indi-
<br />viduals, firms and corporations offering to sell to said Board of Administration certain bond
<br />of Indian River County, and obligations assumed by said County, under the provisions of House
<br />Bill No. 30, actw of the 1933 Legislature; and
<br />AREA:, after carefully considering all of such proposals, and taking into consid-
<br />eration the amount of funds available for that purpose, and the approximate value of said bon
<br />and obligations, it is deemed advisable and expedient to purchase certain of said bonds and
<br />obligations to -wit:
<br />Two (2 Indian River Count Special R & B #4 6% Bonds, dated July 1, 1925, due July
<br />1, 1942, at a price of 90 flat with 5uly 1, 1934 and subsequent coupons attached, as design- of
<br />ated offering "B".
<br />One (1) St, Lucie County Quay Bridge District 6% bonds, dated December 1, 1922, due
<br />December 1, 19369 at a price of 95 flat, with no past due coupons attached, as designated off -I
<br />#ring "C",
<br />One (1) Indian River County Wabasso Bridge District 6% Bonds, dated July 1,1926,67ded
<br />due,,1939; at.,a price of 90 flat with July 1, 1934 and subsequent.coupons attached, as design-
<br />ated offering "D".
<br />Two (2) St. Lucie Co. H*way 6% Bonds, dated February 1, 1920,due February 1, 19399
<br />at a price of 83 flat with August 1, 1933 and subsequent coupons attached, as designated off-
<br />ering "I".
<br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, that the State Board!I ,
<br />of Administration be requested to purchase the securities listed above at the price quoted,
<br />The resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Poole and upon being put to a vote
<br />the same was unanimously adopted.
<br />The several Bills and Accounts against the County, having beenkudited.were examined '+4
<br />and found correct were approved, and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. Such bills,d,
<br />and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk Circuit Court. The Warrants issued from r,
<br />the respective funds being listed,in the supplemental minute book as required by the rules emdi
<br />practiae of the State Auditing Department,reference to said record and the list so recorded
<br />being made a part of these minutes, l
<br />The County Depository filed its monthly statement,showing receipts and disbursments 11
<br />of the various funds which having been audited was found to be correct.

<br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at ii
<br />the Court House in Vero Beach, in regular adjourned sedsion, at 10:00 o'clock A.M. Tuesday,
<br />May 11th. 1937, with the following members of the Board present: R.E.Mudge, Chairman; NsP.
<br />Poole, S,E.Glover, Edwin A.Helseth, and Frank C. Vickers. Also present were W1, Frick,Sheriff,�?
<br />Fames T. Vocdlle, Attorney for the Board and Miss Leila Gray, Deputy Clerk.
<br />It was announced by the Chairman that the time had arrived, namely; 10:00 o'clock
<br />A.M., for the opening of sealed bids in the Office of Clerk of Circuit Court of Indian River
<br />County, up to 10:00 otclook A. M., May llth., 1937, for certain furniture, furnishings
