The foregoing estimatesas made by the Board and published in the Vero Beach Press - <br />Journal, a newspaper published in Indian River County, Florida, in the issues of said newspaper <br />�a � a I <br />on the 8 and 15th day of duly, 1936; were then taken up and considered by the Board., <br />e a <br />Commissioner S. E. Glover thereupon offered the following resolution, be it resolved <br />7-/,. eC) <br />that the foregoing tentative budget prior to final adoption- be amended by ,trAnsferring 000.00 <br />from the 9ontingency fund -of the qkeneral Revenue Fund to thetCounty Nurse Fund under General <br />Revenue Fund. <br />The motion for the adoption was duly seconded by C.B. Michael and declared adopted <br />by the following vote <br />Ayes: �10-, Glover Wd Michael <br />Nayes: None <br />The following resolution was then -introduced by Commissioner Glover.who moved its <br />adoption to -wit: <br />Be it resolved that the budget and the estimates of the necessary and ordinary expeni= <br />ses and extraordinary expenses contemplated by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />Y <br />River County for the fiscal year 1938-1939 as fixed in the minutes of this Board and as adver- <br />tised in the issues of the Vero Beach.Press-Journal,' Vero Beach, Florida, on duly 8th and 15th, <br />1938 and as amended at this meeting of this Board be and the same is hereby approved and adopted. <br />The motion for the adoption of the resolution being duly seconded by Commissioner <br />40awl it was declared adopted by the following vote <br />Ayes: Poole, glover and Michael <br />Nayes: None <br />The Board then proceeded with the matter of fixing the rate of taxation for the <br />County and for Special -District purposes.for..the year 1936, and after careful consideration of <br />the estimated receipts and expenditures the following resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />M hael to -wit: <br />Be it resolved that the rate of Taxation necessary -.to meet the expenses of the Board <br />of County Commissioners of Indian River and the various other funds as hereinafter set out, is <br />as hereinafter levied and that tie,tax rate as shown and setforth.be and tt is hereby levied <br />for the year 1938%at the rate hereinafter set out, to -wit: <br />In order to meet the estimated current expenses of the County of Indian River of the <br />1 <br />po� <br />sum of $31,578.00, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of 'Eight (8) mills upon <br />the dollar be levied and is hereby imposed upon all of the property lying --and being in the <br />county of Indian River on the first day of January, 1938; for the GENERAL REVUE FUND,to meet <br />the current expenses ,of the County and to provide for the expenditures as estimated in the bud- <br />get hereinbefore set forth. <br />To meet the expenses estimated to be necessary to be paid out of the FINE & FORFEITURE <br />FM the sum of $12,316.75, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Three (3) � <br />mills upon the dollar be levied, assessed, and is hereby imposed upon all the property lying <br />and being in the County of Indian River on the first day of January, 1938, for the Fine & For- <br />feiture Fund, to meet the current expenses as,estimated in the budget. <br />To cover the amount=of .the.estimated.expenses for keeping the County Roads in good <br />shape and for the,construction-and repairing of bridges and other necessary expenses to keep <br />the roads of the County in good condition and provided other goads when necessary of $25,526.50 <br />it is determined and hereby- declared that a tax.rate of Nine (9) mills upon the dollar be levied <br />assessed and is hereby imposed upon all of the :property lying and being in the County of Indian <br />River on the first day , of ;anUary, 193 to, meet.the current expenses of the County as estimated <br />in the budget for the ROAD & BRIDGE FUND. <br />�II <br />. 1 <br />
