It was ordered that Sam Beers, C. A. Vandiveer and George Seers be appointed a commit <br />tee to view, mark and lay out the best route add report to this Board. <br />The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipts and disbursements <br />of the various funds which having been audited were found to be correct. <br />examined and <br />The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited were/found to <br />be correct, and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same, Suoh bills and accounts being on <br />file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court. The warrants issued from the respect,fte <br />funds being.listed in the supplemental minute hook as required by the rules and practice of the <br />State ,Auditing Department, reference to said record and`.the list so recorded being made a part <br />of these minutes. <br />There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board then <br />adjourned. ,,57'N <br />ATTES -21 <br />®� <br />- - - r - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -------------------------------------------- <br />TUBS <br />------------fir------------------------------TUBSDAY XAM 5th._ 1__ 940. <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met at the Court house in <br />Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock A. K. Tuesday, March 5th., 1940, in regular meeting with the fol- <br />lowing members of the Board present: C. S. -Michael, Chairman; S. E. Glover, W. C. Graves,.ar. <br />Albert 0. Helseth and Frank C. Vickers. Also present were tem. W. Frick, Sheriff; Attorneys for <br />the Board,Mitchell, Smith & Mitchell and Douglas Baker, Clerk. <br />It was ordered Mrs. C. F. Fertio, Mrs, XU-zabeth Tillis and 011ie Matson be removed - <br />from the Pauper's List and Mother's Pension Fund.. <br />It was ordered Mrs. Lillian Strickland be replaced on the list to receive Mother's <br />orders <br />Aid until the further$/of the Board. <br />Coroner's report in the matter of the deaths of Thomas G.; Agnes; Evelyn and Horace <br />McWharter was received and ordered filed. <br />Commissioner W. 0. Graves, Jr. reported as to the meeting, which he attended, with <br />the members of the State Road Department Budget Committee held at Deland and stated that the <br />following proposed Road improvements and/orconstruction would be included in the budget of <br />the State Road Department for the fiscal year 1940s Item No. 1 covers construction of 5.03 <br />miles of Highway on East end of State Road No. 30 and includes a new bridge across the main <br />drainage canal. Item No. 2 providas.for widening of the curve on Road 30 at 20th Street. Item <br />No. 3 includes improvement and resurfacing of Road No. 4 between Vero Beach and Wabasso. The <br />delegation attending the Road Department meeting included Mayor Alex MacWilliami City Engineer <br />Harry W. Damerow, County Commissioner, W. C. Graves, dr., and E. G. Thatcher, Secretary of <br />Chamber of Commerce. <br />Ron. George T. Tippin submitted a written report in regard- to exhibits from Indian <br />River County at the Tampa and Orlando fairs. <br />It was ordered the following county warrants be not issued or withheld fqc the months <br />that these persons receive F. S. A. checks: Mary Grioe, Bertha Morrison, Kettle Gore, Carrie <br />Martin, Mamie Nelson, Bertis Nelson, Mrs,waxonger and S. C.
