in regular session, duly assembled, hereby approve the aforesaid work and do hereby respect-
<br />fully petition and request the War Department of the United States of America to issue its per-
<br />mit authorizing the dredging of certain areas of the Indian River within Indian River County,
<br />as shown by the Blue Print attached to the application for said permit, and extending the water
<br />line of said river.
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a copy of this resolution be sent by the Clerk of this
<br />body to the Honorable Mayor and City Council of the City of Vero Beach, Florida, and to Mr. J.
<br />B. Fraser, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
<br />Resolution was duly seconded by Albert 0. Helseth, and upon being put to a vote, the
<br />same was unanimously adopted.
<br />There being no further business, on motion made, seconded and carried the Board then
<br />adjorned until 10:00 01clock A. M., Saturday, September 20, 1941.

<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met at the Courthouse in
<br />Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock, A. M., Saturday, September 20, 1941, in regular-adjorned meeting
<br />with the following members of the Board present; C. S. Michael, Chairman; W. C. Graves, Jr.,
<br />Albert 0. Helseth and Frank C. Vickers, Absent: S. E. Glover. Also present were Marshall 0.
<br />Mitchell, Attorney, Wm. W. Frick, Sheriff, and Douglas Baker, Clerk.
<br />The Chairman announced that this meeting was for the purpose of considering and fin-
<br />ally adopting, if proper, the County budget for the year 1941-1942, and notice setting forth
<br />said budget and the estimates thereof having been duly published in the Vero Beach Press Journa:
<br />in its issuds of September 5 and 12, 1941; that the final approval of the County Tax Assessment
<br />Roll for the year 1941 had not yet been received from the State Comptroller and the Board was
<br />advised that it was proper to adjourn this meeting for the purpose of considering and finally
<br />adopting the budget to such time as the assessment roll should be finally approved by the State
<br />Comptroller.
<br />Thereon on motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried this meeting, as a bud-

<br />The Chairman announced this meeting was called for the purpose of receiving applicat-
<br />ions for license to sell intoxicating liquors, wines and beer.
<br />Application of R. E. Turlington, Sebastian, Florida (to be known as Fardee's Bar) for
<br />a license to sell intoxicating liquors, wines and beer, was received and after careful conside
<br />ation the same, on motion made, by W, C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Albert 0. Helseth and carried
