Sullivan as suretieS:was approved. <br />KAMM ACT PURCHASE RESOLUTION <br />®'4 IV <br />Commissioner Graves introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />WHEREAS, The State Board of Administration has submitted certain proposals of in - <br />dividuals, firms and corporations offering to sell to said Board of Administration certain <br />bonds of Indian River County, and obligations assumed by said County, under the°provisions <br />of House Bill No. 30,. Acts of the 1933 Legislature; and <br />WAEREAS, after carefully considering all of such proposals and taking into eonsider- <br />ation the amount of funds available for that purpose, and the approximate value of said bonds <br />and obligations,'it is deemed advisable and expedient to purchase and cancel certain of said <br />bonds and obligations to -wit: <br />$60.00 Matured Interest Coupons #9 detached from St. Lucie County Special Road & <br />Bridge District #1 6% Bonds Nos. 24 and 30, dated January 1, 19189 due July 1, 1932, at a <br />price of $48.00, as designated offering "A". <br />$1,600.00 St. Lucie County Road & Bridge District #1 6% Bond #68, dated January 1, <br />19189 Past due coupons attached (7-1-32 ASCA' due July 1, 19439 at a price of $1,472.00, as <br />designated offering "B". <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners that the State Boatd <br />of Administration be requested to purchase and cancel the securities listed above at the price <br />quoted. <br />The resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Vickers and upon being put to a <br />vote the same was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. W. E. Sexton and Mr. C. B. Johnson representing property owners on road fronting <br />their homes appeared before the Board and requested certain roads be oiled. The board agreed <br />to apply the oil or road material provided the property owners will pay for cost of material. <br />Mr.. J.. F. Castano representing Hon. Harry H. Hector, member of the State Road Depart. <br />went, appeared before the' Board and Stated that due to the present emergency that it, might not <br />be possible for the State Road Department to do all that they wished to do with respect to <br />roads in this area and throughout the State. It was ordered the Clerk write a letter to Mr. <br />Hector expressing their appreciation for the splendid cooperation received from his office in <br />all matters dealing with the affairs of this County and for his extremely able -services as a <br />representative of this congressional district upon the State Road Department. <br />Douglas Baker, Clerk, was instructed to write Hon. J. Edwin Larson relative to <br />coupons outstanding from Indian River County Special Road and Bridge District#4 'refunding <br />bonds dated January 1, 1937. <br />Hon. Oscar DuBose appeared before the Board and requested a donation in the sum of <br />$300.00 for the Vero Beach Band Association- On motion made by W. C. Graves Jr., seconded by <br />
