1 <br />L7 <br />1 <br />573 <br />than River County, being the governing body of such county, and the -mayor of the City of Vero <br />Beach, as the executive head of the City in which such hospital is situated., be authorized and <br />directed to Officially present this situation to the proper officials and to inform such offic- <br />ials of the willingness of the officials of this area to furnish any and all information desir- <br />ed in arriving at a final determination of the request contained in this resolution. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That this situation and request be respectfully called to the <br />Attention of the Porper officials of the Navy Department with the thought that the same will <br />prsent a matter for reasonable consideration and that the same is not presented with the inten- <br />tion of evidencing a lack of cooperation or a selfishness on the part of the affected area but <br />in full recognition of the fact that the citizens of the affected area will recognize that the <br />decision finally reached is based upon a knowledge of the national requirements in the presant <br />emergency and as such all citizens of the area will cheerfully receive such decision and regard <br />less of whether it may recognize a need for Mrs. Radin to remain in this area or will recognize <br />a need that her services be made available elsewhere. <br />The resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner 8elseth, and upon being put to a vo <br />the same was unanimously adopted. <br />There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board then <br />adjourned. <br />ATTEWn. <br />_�!LSRK P7 <br />pl'0` NDAY , MARCH 9th, 1942 <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />the Courthouse in Vero Beach, at 10:00 o0olock'A. M. Monday, March 9th, 1942 in special meeting <br />with the following members of the Board present; C. S. Michael*, Chairman, S. E. Glover, Albert <br />0. Helseth, Frank C. Vickers and W. C. Graves Jr. Also present were Charles A. Mitchell, <br />Attorney to the Board, and Douglas Baker, Clerk. <br />The chairman announced this meeting was called for the purpose of making levies a- <br />gainst the verious candidates who' part io ipate'. in the Democratic Primary election to be held <br />Tuesday, May 5th, 1942. <br />A certified copy ofssi olution duly approved by the County Democratic Executive Com - <br />mittee setting out the party assessment levied against the various candidates who participate i <br />the Democratic Primary election to be held Tuesday May15, 1942, was received and carefully not <br />The Board then proceeded to make levies against the various offices to cover the cost of hold- <br />ing such primary elections in May, the assessments 'so levied being as follows: <br />Democratic Executive County <br />Committee Assessments <br />Representative 5.00 <br />County Commissioner 3.00 <br />.Board of Public Instruction 3.00 <br />Constable 2.00 <br />dustLce of the Peace 2.00 <br />County Surveyor 1.00 <br />6.00 <br />4.00 <br />4.00 <br />4.00 <br />4.00 <br />2.00 <br />Mosquito Control Board 1.00 1.00 <br />and ordered that assessments so levied against the respective offices be collected by the <br />Clerk of the Circuit Court within the time prescribed by law, and placed in the General Rev- <br />enue Fund of the County. <br />
