Mr. W. T. Nettles, District Agent with the.Agricultural Extension Service, Gaines - <br />villa appeared before the Board with regard to the employment of a County Agricultural Agent. <br />On motion made by Albert O; Helseth, Seconded by Frank C. 'Vickers and unanimously carried,". <br />action was postponed for the duration. <br />Mr. Walter Bennett of the Fenole Chemical Company appeared before the Board regard- <br />ing spray material for the Jail. On motion by W. C. Graves Jr., seconded by S. E. Glover and <br />unanimously carried the Board authorized the purchase of.two (2),fifty five (55) gallon drums <br />of spray material for the Jail. <br />It was ordered Amy Newton, (colored) Gifford, Florida, be placed on the pauper's list <br />to.redeive the sum of $6.00 per month until the further orders of the Board. <br />On motion made by S. E. Glover, seconded by W. C., Graves Jr. and unanimously carried <br />Mother's Pension fund application for Dors. Annie Votrobeck, Fellsmere, Florida, was approved <br />for the sum of $10.00 per month, until the further -orders of the. Board. <br />The report of the work of M. H. McEachron,' Agricultural and Industrial census enum- <br />erator for Indian River County, 1942, was examined and approved by the County Commissioners <br />of this County. There were 658 Agrigicultural listings at 30¢, making a total of $197.40. <br />Douglas Baker, Clerk was instructed to issue a grocery order in the sum of $5.00 <br />to Mrs. Nancy Shaw, Winter Beach, F16rida, and advise her that duAto�he County's limited re- <br />sources at this time, it would be impossible for the County to furnish any additional grocery <br />orders or to make any financial contribution. <br />On motion made by W. C. Graves Jr., seconded by Albert 0. Helseth and unanimously <br />carried, the salary of Honorable Cleo. T. Tippin, Supervisor of Registration was increased from <br />$50.00 per month to $52.00,, per month, until the further orders of theBoard. <br />Wm. W. Bunkley, County Nurse, appeared before the Board and made a report <br />of her activities for the month of June 1942. <br />The -several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were ex- <br />amined and found correct, vare approved andwarrants issued in settlement of same. Such <br />bills and accounts being on File in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court. The <br />Warrants so issued from the respective funds being listed, in the Supplemental Minute Book, <br />as provided by the rules of the State Auditor, reference to such record and the list so re- <br />corded being made a part of these minutes. <br />The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipts and disburse - <br />menta of the various funds, which having been audited were found to be correct. <br />
