Whereupon Commissioner <br />Graves introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption towit: <br />Be it resolved that the budget and estimates of the necessary and ordinary ex- <br />penses and extraordinary expenses contemplated by the Board of County Commissioners of In- <br />dian River County for the fiscal year 1942-1943 as fixed in the minutes of this Board and <br />as advertised in the issues of the Vero Beach Press -Journal of #'uly 10 and 17, 1942, be and <br />the same is hereby approved and adopted. <br />The motion for the adoption of the resolution being duly seconded by Commissioner. <br />Helseth, it was declared adopted by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Helseth, Graves, Michael, Glover and Vickers. <br />Hayes: None. <br />The Board then proceeded with the matter of fixing the rate of taxation for In- <br />dian River County for the year 1942 and after careful consideration of the estimated re- <br />ceipts and expenditures the following resolution was introduced by Commissioner Vickers, <br />who moved its adoption to -wit: <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the rate of Taxation necessary to meet the expenditures of the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, for the fiscal year 1942-1943 <br />pursuant to the budget of said Board as heretofore published and approved, is as hereinafter <br />levied and that the tax rate as hereinafter shown and set forth, be and it is hereby levied <br />on all taxable property in Indian River County, Florida, for the year 1942, with the rate <br />hereinafter set out, to -wit: <br />In order to meet the estimated current expenses of the County of Indian River of <br />the sum of $29,591.55, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of one and three <br />fifths (1 3/5) mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby imposed upon all of the proper- <br />ty lying and being in the County of Indian River on the f fret day of January, 1942, for the <br />GENBR&L REVENUE FUND, to meet the current expenses of the County and to provide for the ex- <br />penditure� as estimated in the budget hereinbefore set forth. <br />To meet the expenses estimated to be necessary to be paid out of the FIVE <br />FORFEITURE FUND the sum of 968, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax <br />I �,� <br />E'- <br />rate of three-fifths (3/5) mills upon the dollar be levied, assessed, and is hereby imposed <br />upon all the property lying and being in the County of Indian River on the first day of <br />January, 19t for the Fine & Forfeiture Fund, to meet the current expenses as estimated in <br />the budget. v <br />0 <br />1 <br />1 <br />0 <br />L' <br />1 <br />1 <br />e <br />i <br />O <br />�9i011�z�3 <br />O <br />O <br />-U <br />C <br />F17a 4 <br />W <br />0 <br />O <br />Z <br />The Board then considered the County Budget and Budget estimates as prepared by <br />the Board at its nesting of duly 7, 1942 and duly advertised, as provided by Law, in the <br />Vero Beach Press -Journal, in its issues of July 10 and 17, 1942.
