Duncan, Tax Assessor, appeared before the Board and requested additional <br />time in which to turn over the original and copies of the 1943 Tax Assessment Roll. The re- <br />quest was granted as per the following resolution: <br />M OLUTION <br />Commissioner Albert 0. Helseth introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption to -wit: <br />"REAS, it is provided by statute that the County Assessor of taxes shall turn over <br />the original and copies of the 1943 tax assessment roll to this board at a meeting to be held <br />on the first Monday in Ootober,.1943, and unless time therefore shall be extended; and, <br />WH RXkS, by reason of unavoidable delay in the approval of certain budgets and the <br />certifying to this Board of certain tax levies, the County Assessor of Taxes did not receive <br />the County tax levy for 1943 in such time that said assessment roll may be presented to this <br />l <br />Board at a meeting on the first Monday in October, 1943; therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED, that the day for the turning over to this Board of said assessment p <br />r � <br />roll be and it is herewith extended to And including November, 1943• <br />Upon being duly seconded by G. E. Barkoskie,., the same was unanimously adopted. <br />At the request of Douglas Baker, Clerk, the following resolutions with regard to <br />transferring items which had a surplus to items which were over -expended -in the General Revenue <br />and Fine and Forfeiture Funds were adopted as follows: <br />RE82LU`1'ION <br />Commissioner S. E. Glover introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption, <br />to -wit: <br />WHEREAS, there is a surplus under the items of numbers 1-219; 241; 1-241; 2714 311; <br />315; 563; 1-563; 685 and 689 in the General Revenue Fund of Indian River County and which <br />surplus exists after the payment of all necessary expenditures under such items for -the current <br />fiscal year; and <br />WHRWAS, there is a deficiency in funds necessary to provide for the proper and • <br />authorized expenditures under the items of numbers 211; 212; 221; 224; 225; 4-241; 5-241; <br />1-261; 262; 269; 1-341;-362 and 2-563 in said General Revenue Fund; and <br />Whereas, said items mentioned are a part of the same Fund and the transfer ofmonies <br />herewith authorized is a transfer from one item to another item in the same Fund and is not a <br />transfer from one Fund to andther Fund; therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED that there is herewith transferred the sum of $4627.42 from the items <br />of numbers 1-219; 241; 1-241; 271; 311; 315; 563; 1-563; 685 and 689 to the items of numbers <br />211; 212; 221; 224; 225; 4-241; 5-241; 1-261; 262; 269; 1-341; 362 and 2-563, all in the <br />General Revenue Fund of the current budget of Indian River County, upon the approval of the <br />i State Comptroller. <br />_.
