Fr <br />170 <br />FRiDA.Y, DECEMBER 15, 1944 <br />xhe Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met at the Court douse in <br />Vero Beach, Florida, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., Friday, December 150 1944, in special meeting with <br />the following members of the Board present: W. C. Graves, Jr., Chairman, Albert 0. -Helseth, <br />S. E.Glover,,,-:G. E. Barkoskie and Frank C. Vickers. -mlso present were Charles A. Mitchell, <br />Attorney, ,aud Douglas Baker, Clerks and R. fir. Graves, Commissioner elect from District No. 2* <br />Chairman Graves announced this meeting was called for the purpose of considering <br />an increase in salary for County Agent, Marcel A. Boudet. Mr. Graves stated it had been <br />brought to his attention that the County Commissiomrs for Brevard ounty had offered to pay <br />Mr. Boudet the sum of 0225.OQ per mon.th for his services with an increase of 425.00 per month <br />on or about six months after he begins worts tlierefor6,, Ih*-tiaa muohLais" higr.f)n"ntf�6+dliir:'Pis <br />4150.00 per month from Indian River County -;-it'= wou.1d mean an- increase of $75.00 per month. <br />providing Mr. :Boudet remained as County Agent Por this County. After considerable discussion <br />It was unanimously agreed upon and deemed advisable for the good and benefit of Indian River <br />County to retain Mr. Boudet as County Agent. It was moved by Commissioner Barkoskie, seconded <br />by Commissioner Vickers and carried that the salary of the County Agent, Marcel A. Boudet,, be <br />increased from $150.00 per month to 4225.00 per month, effective January 1, 1945. It was <br />pointed out that 475.00 of this amount would be designated as traveling expense and upkeep <br />on the County Agents automobile, . <br />There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />then adjourned until 10:00 A.M. Mitchell, Attorneys and <br />Doublas Baker, Clerk. - <br />Chairman Graves announced this meeting was being held for the purpose, among other <br />things, of approving County officials and Notary Public bonds. _ <br />Notary Public bonds for Edwin As, Helseth in the sum of $500.00 with United States <br />Fidelity and Guaranty Company of Baltimore, Maryland as surety,was approved, <br />County Compissioner's bond for Frank C. Vickers, District #1 in the sum of $2000.00 <br />with Continental Casualty Company of Chicago, Illinois$ was approved. <br />County Commissioner's bond for R.N'. graves, District #2 in the sutra of 42x00.00 with ' <br />I' U. S. Fidelity and Guaranty Company of Baltimore, Maryland, was approved. <br />Bond of Supt. of Public Instruction for J. L. Powers in the sum of $5000.00 with <br />4 Seaboard Surety Company of New Fork as surety was approved# <br />- <br />ii Bond of Supervisor of Registration of Electors for D. A. Lawson in the sum of <br />$500.00 with U. S. Fidelity and Guaranty Company of Baltimore, Maryland as surety was approved, <br />j Sheriff's bond for L. B.
