<br />All of Sec. 8 lying between the East line -of said Seo. 8 and the Indian Fiver and
<br />South of the City limits of Fero Beach, Florida; all of Sec. 9 lying Bast of the shoreline of
<br />the Atlentio Ocean; all of Section 16 lying East of the shoreline of the Atlentlo Ooeaa and
<br />North of the South lines of Government Lots 11, 12 and 13. in said Seo. 16; all of Seo. 17 lying
<br />in Government -Lots 1, 2, and 3 thereof, all lying and .being in Township 33 9, Ranee 40 E, In•
<br />dian River, Florida; reference being made to attached Plat, whioh by this reference is made a
<br />part hereof.
<br />AND WHEREAS there are. certain roads end streets within the above deeoribed area that
<br />by usage and presartption have become County roads and highways under the jurisdiction of this
<br />Hoard, which said roads end highways, it is considered, should be, in the best interests of the
<br />County of Indian River in cooperation with the war effort of the United States of America, tem..
<br />porarily closed from the date hereof to and until six months after the date of the termination
<br />• lof the unlimited National . ergeney as declared by the President of the Ut..ted States on May 27,
<br />11941 (Proclamation 2487).
<br />AND ;l.ERE4S the following authority for this action is vested intbis Board of County
<br />Commissioners, to wit: Chapter 22067 of the Laws of Florida adopted by the Florida Legislature
<br />In the year 1943.
<br />NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River
<br />County, Florida, in regular session assembled, this 3rd day of April, 1945, that all bounty
<br />roads and highways lying within the above-described area be, and the same ere, hereby oloaed
<br />to use by the pubiio from tog date hereof to and until sig months after the date of the terminate
<br />tion of the unlimited National Emergency as declared by the President of the 'United States on__
<br />Mey 21, 1941 (Proolathatton 2487), and the exolusive use thereof and jurisdiction thereover here-
<br />by expressly granted to the United States of America for the requirements of the Wer Department
<br />for the period of this closing thereof established hereby; to the extent of the authority 1.egel.4

<br />40 . be made as applied for and advise U. S. Government, Orlonda, Florida, to deal with pur-
<br />Chasers as to leasing the land.
<br />County deeds numbering sixty-eight to eighty, both inclusive, were signed by the mem-
<br />bers of the Board under Chapter 194, Florida Statutes 1941.
<br />The several bilis and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examined
<br />and found correct, were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same. Such bills and eo-
<br />counts being on file in the cffioe of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, the Warrants so issued..
<br />front the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Book, as provided.by the rule
<br />4f the State Auditor, reference to such record and tie list so recorded being' made e* part of
<br />these minutes.
<br />The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipts and disbureements
<br />of various funds, which having bean audited were found to be correct.
