TUEMAY, OCTOBER 5th 1926 <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met <br />at the Court House in Vero Beach, on Tuesday, October 5th, 1926 at 10 o'clock A.M. <br />with the following members of the Board. present: John H. Atkin, Chairman, G.A.Brad- <br />dock, J.W'.iaBruce, Donald Forbes and 0. 0. Helseth. Also present was W.B.Davis,Deputy <br />Sheriff and Miles Warren, Clerk. <br />The minutes of the previous meetings of this Board were read and approved. <br />It was ordered that the Clerk and Chairman of this Board be authorized to draw <br />warrant against the Road and Bridge Fund for any amount found due in the condemnation <br />shit now pending in the Circuit Court for right-of-way for State Road No. 4. <br />The Notary Public bond of D.Y.Laytonri Jr., in the sum of $500.00 with the .American <br />Surety Company, a corporation, of New York as surety was approved. <br />The following named. persons were selected to serve as Inspectors and Clerk of <br />the General Election of November 2nd 1926 in the several precincts of the County: <br />Precinct No.1 Roseland. <br />W.V .Holtzclaw; T.A.Garring; and N.D.Hammon, Inspectors. L. Ashburner, Clerk. <br />Precinct No.2 Sebastian. <br />A.5chulman, P.Kroegel and Geo F.Vickers, Inspectors. M.M.Braddock, Clerk. <br />Precinct No.3 Wabasso. <br />T.J.Cail-; Geo. Sears and T.H.Sibley, Inspectors. VT.M.1eisher, Clerk. <br />Precinct No. 4 Minter Beach. <br />C.E.Mathis; J.M.McCullers Sr.;G.A.MeJunkin, Inspectors. T.H.Sheffield, Clerk. <br />Precinct No. 5 (North Vero Beach) <br />Nellie M.Babb; Walter T.James; and Mrs R.M.Huntley,Inspectors. C.C.Gow, Clerk. <br />Precinct No.6 (South Vero Beach) <br />Mrs.G.C.Bartlett; Clark 'S .Rice; and. L.A.Moeller, Inspectors. T.E.Jun, Clerk. <br />Precinct No.? Oslo. <br />A.E.Sueverkruebbe; Chas.Eddy and Oswald. Helseth, Inspectors. Albert 0.Eelseth,Clerk. <br />Precinct No.8 Fellsmere. <br />M.A.Carrier; W.A.Weatherup and J.J.Bustin, Inspectors; F.W.Dole, Clerk. <br />It was ordered that the County Engineer make report on peninsular road North of <br />Winter Beach as to putting same in passable condition. <br />It was ordered the Clerk write Mr.C.C.Braswell, to remove the Arch in the road- <br />way at Winter Beach. Such action being taken in view he has not complied with agree- <br />ment with this Board with respect to building the road from the Highway to the quay <br />Bridge. <br />It wme ordered that John W.Gribble be placed on the relief list to receive $25.00 <br />per month for three months in lieu of Roy Gribble, deceased. <br />The County Engineer was instructed to advertise for bids for One half yard. truck <br />mounted. Crane to be purchased out of General R & B Funds of the County. <br />The Chairman and Clerk of this Board are authorized and empowered to execute con - <br />on behalf of <br />tract mciztk Indian River County with the Florida Road Oiling Company for oiling roads <br />of Special Road & Bridge District No. 4. <br />The following checks for work done for private parties were received; <br />A.M.•Hil1 $115.60 <br />W.P.Bailey 34.00 <br />Fellsmere Estates Corpn 454.53. <br />Chas. Harris 22.60 <br />$626.?3 <br />which was ordered placed in the Road & Bridge Fund of the County. <br />The several bilis against the County, having been audited, were examined and <br />found correct and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. 4'"uch bills and <br />accounts being on file in the Clerk's office and made a part of these minutes. <br />The several County Depositories filed their monthly statements, showing balance <br />'I <br />
