<br />To cover the amount of the estimated expenses for keeping the County Roads in good
<br />shape and for the construction and repairing of bridges and other necessary expenses to keep th

<br />is6determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Two and four-fifths (2 4/5) mills upon the
<br />dollar be levied, assessed and is hereby imposed upon all of the property lying and being in th
<br />County of Indian River on the first day of January, 1945, to meet the current expenses of the
<br />County as estimated in the budget for the ltOAD & BRIDGE FUND.
<br />To meet the interest payments and provide a sinking fund for the ultimate redemption
<br />of County Court House bonds, in pursuance of the requirements of the law the sum of $4,895.00, ;,

<br />be and he is hereby directed to assess and levy the foregoing taxes as fixed by this Board upon
<br />in Indian River County subject theretoi and that he extend such taxes on the valuation of such,.
<br />the taxable propertyraccording to said m4ilage as fiXed and determined and levied by this Board
<br />property
<br />as provided by law; that a certified copy of this resolution be furnished to the County Tax
<br />Assessor.
<br />The motion for the adoption of the said resolution for the levy of taxes was seconded
<br />Eby Commissioner Vickers and adopted by the following votes,J-d.
<br />Ayes: Graves, Glover, Vickers and R. Graves.
<br />The several bills and accounts against the County, hating been audited, were examined
<br />land found corrects were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same. Such bilis and
<br />,accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Courts the Warrants so issued
<br />from the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Book, as provided by the
<br />rules of the State Auditor, reference to such record and the list so recorded being made a part
<br />of these minutes.
<br />The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipts and disbursements
<br />of the various funds, which having been audited were found to be correct.
<br />There being no further business, on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board
<br />then adjourned.

<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met at the Court House in
<br />Vero Beach, at 3:00 o'clock P. M. Friday, September 21, 1945, in special meeting with the follow-
<br />ing members of the Board present: W. C. Graves, Jr., Chairman, R. W. Graves, Frank C. Vickers'
<br />and S. E. Glover. Absent Albert 0. Helseth. Also present was Douglas Baker, Clerk.
<br />Application of Conger„ Mead, Reynolds (as Fellsmere Bar and Liquor Store), Highway
<br />ii
<br />Building, Fellsmere, Florida, for a license to sell intoxicating liquors, wines and beer, was
<br />'inspected and, after carefully considering the same, on motion made, seconded and carried, the
<br />,same was approved.
