<br />The severals bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examined,
<br />and found correct, were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same. Such bills and
<br />aoeounts being on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, the warrants so issued.
<br />°from the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Book, as provided by the rules',
<br />of the State Auditor, reference to such record and list so recorded being madea part of these
<br />(minutes.
<br />The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipt and disbursements
<br />,of the various fuads,'which having been audited were found to be correct.
<br />There being no further business or motion made, seconded, and unanimous y -carried,
<br />jthe Board then adjourned.

<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian -River County met at the Court House in
<br />Vero Beach, Florida, at 10:000o'clock, A. U., Tuesday, June 4, 1946, in regular meeting with
<br />the following members of the Board present: W. C. Graves, Jr., Chairman, Frank C. Vickers,
<br />;Albert 0. Helseth and S. E: ---glover. Absent R. W. Graves. Also present were L. B. X18 een,Sher-
<br />iff; E. E. Carter, County Engineer; Charles A. Mitchell, Attorney; and Douglas Baker, Clerk.
<br />The minutes of -the previous meeting were read and approved.
<br />Mrs. Carl Hilliard and Joe Padgett appeared before the Board with regard to obtaining
<br />assistance for ,the welfard of their families.
<br />County Nurse.
<br />These matters were referred to Alice Helleso,
<br />�" On motion made by Commissioner Helseth, seconded by Commissioner Glover and unanimous-„
<br />jly carried, it was ordered that Belle I.,.Cbdy, Fero Beach, Florida, receive the sum of $75.00
<br />l�a,.,month for the care of CArrie Fergasson same to be paid from the General Revenue Fund until the;
<br />11further orders of the Board.
<br />?! The Board signed 06unty Deeds numbers 213 to 224, inclusive, as provided by Chapter
<br />194, Florida Statutes 1941.
<br />.E. E. Carter, County Engineer, was instructed to obtain estimates as to the cost of
<br />lair -conditioning the Court room and the Jury Room; also to obtain estimates on air-conditioning
<br />!''the entire Gourt House.
<br />It was ordered the election officials for the second primary be paid the sum of $8.06.
<br />'per day plus $2.00 -for those returning the ballot boxes plus 50 per mile; further that the
<br />;,;Deputy Sheriffbt conducting said election to receive the sum of $3.00 per day_; further that the
<br />!owners of the buildings where the elections were conducted to receive the sum of $340 per day
<br />I,,
<br />for rental.
<br />Verdict of coroner's jury in the matter of the inquest on the body of Hugh D. Keffer
<br />was received and ordered filed by the Clerk.
<br />The following letter was received by Sheriff L. % O'Steen revoking the appointment of
<br />'`Made Holland, Sebastian, Florida, as Deputy Sheriff;
