EXHIBIT 1 <br /> CONTINUING CONTRACT CONSULTING SERVICES FOR: <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br /> WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM&WATER TREATMENT FACIIjTIES AND <br /> WASTEWATER COLLECTION SYSTEM&WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES <br /> A general description of the scope of consulting services is as follows: <br /> The Consultant is to perform, as needed, continuing contract consulting services for the County's Potable <br /> Water Distribution System and Water Treatment Facilities and Wastewater Collection System & <br /> Wastewater Treatment Facilities. The projects will require close and frequent liaison with the County's <br /> Utility Services Department The miscellaneous projects may include, but are not limited to, the <br /> following. <br /> • Capital Improvement projects. <br /> • Operating and Maintenance projects(o&m). <br /> • Miscellaneous General plant-related engineering services. <br /> • Budgetary and process/operating cost analysis projects. <br /> • Hydraulic&Sewer/Water Quality Modeling. <br /> • Permitting and Regulatory Assistance. <br /> • Giant Writing&Funding Analysis. <br /> • Subsurface Soils exploration. <br /> • Surveying,Mapping GIS and GPS Services. <br /> • Site Work including storm water-,roads and infrastructure I <br /> • Structural,Mechanical,Electrical and Instrumentation Services <br /> • Wastewater and RO Water Design and Distribution <br /> • Capital Estimates <br /> • And other engineering tasl6 as directed by the Director of Utility Services. <br /> Some of the foregoing projects are anticipated by Indian River County to be projects in which <br /> construction costs do not exceed$1 million,or study activities where the fee for such professional service <br /> does not exceed $50,000. In addition, other projects are anticipated for work of a specified nature as <br /> outlined in an Agreement to be developed between the Consultant and Indian River County,with no time <br /> limitation except that the Agreement will contain a termination clause. The work on the foregoing <br /> projects may occur at any time within the five(5)year rolling Capital Improvement Program, including <br /> but not limited to the following referenced list: <br /> • Capital Project List of 2006(or latest) <br /> • Capital Project as outlined in the Utility Master Plan prepared by Post, Buckley, Shuh <br /> and Jernigan(PBS&J)Inc.dated December 2004. <br /> • Water&Wastewater Treatment Facilities Renewal &Replacement(R&R)Projects with <br /> anticipated construction costs in excess of one million dollars. <br /> • Water & Wastewater Treatment Facilities Capacity Enhancement Projects with <br /> anticipated construction costs in excess of one million dollars. <br /> • Waster Distribution/Wastewater Collection R&R projects with anticipated constructions <br /> costs in excess of one million dollars. <br /> SmeadSoR Reprint Date:Friday,May 13,2016-13:46:13-OfficialDocument5:4856,Attachment Id 1,Page 43 <br />
