Davis, Vice -Chairman <br />3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Bob Solari, Commissioner <br />4. BUDGET OVERVIEW BY COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR, JOSEPH A. BAIRD <br />County Administrator Joseph Baird announced that the Fiscal Year 2014-2015 proposed budget for <br />the County is $259,909,973, a decrease of $43,308,568 or 14% from Fiscal Year 2013-2014. He said <br />the total ad valorem taxes are up by about $4.3 million or 5.8%, but down $24 million from the all- <br />time high in 2006-2007. He reviewed the following budget highlights: <br />• Net Increase of 9 Full -Time Positions $388,055 <br />• Incorporation of a Capital Equipment Replacement Schedule <br />• Building and Engineering Staff Increases <br />• Solid Waste Disposal District Assessment Increase <br />• Phasing Out Utilization of Fund Reserves <br />2014-2015 Preliminary Budget Hearing <br />September 10, 2014 <br />Page 1 <br />
