BUDGET OVERVIEW BY COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR, JOSEPH A. BAIRD <br />5:03 p.m. <br />County Administrator Joseph Baird provided a summary overview for the Fiscal Year 2014-2015 <br />Budget. He announced that the total budget is $259,909,973, $43,308,568 less than last year, or <br />14.3%. He relayed that the total Ad Valorem taxes are up $4.3 million, or 5.8%; but, down $24 <br />million from 2006-2007. He reported that there was a net increase of nine full-time positions, of <br />which eight are Board of County Commission (Board) positions. He stated 244 full-time positions <br />were reduced since 2006-2007, about 25% less. He said the use of reserve funds to balance the <br />budget were being phased out, we were utilizing 0.9%, or $900,000 in the General Fund, and $1.6 <br />million in the current year. <br />5.
