PUBLIC DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />(As a general rule, public discussion items should be limited to matters <br />on which the commission may take action.) <br />1. Request to Speak from Jeff Morton Regarding Change Road <br />Paving From Millings to Standard Asphalt on 58th Avenue <br />Project <br />97 <br />Jeff Morton, 9512 Riverside Drive, noted that as part of a <br />bridge restoration project, the County is paving part of <br />13th Street to 58th Avenue with regular asphalt, while the <br />area from 13th Street to Oslo Road will be paved with <br />millings. He described Regatta Construction's upcoming <br />housing development, Water Mill Landing, and asked if <br />the County could amend the project and pave the entire <br />dirt road with regular asphalt to make ingress and egress <br />easier for Water Mill residents. <br />Director of Public Works Chris Mora provided <br />information on the bridge project, and explained why the <br />County must use millings, rather than asphalt, to pave the <br />aforementioned section of 58th Avenue. <br />General discussion ensued on paving and millings. <br />No Board Action was Required or Taken <br />2.
