Mol Monday, February 17, 39479in a speciate meeting <br />• <br />6 with the following members of the Board presents W. C. Graves, dr., Chairman; R. W., Graves, <br />Albert 0, Helseth, Frank Co Vickers* Absents S. B. Glover. Also present were Charles A. <br />and <br />i,Mltchellq Attorneyi/DoUglas Baker, Clorki together with Honorable Alex MaciWilliamt Representa- <br />tive, W. A. Slewertq J. R. Gaztam'b de, J. M. Forming, and Z. L. Helplinge <br />Chairman Graves announced this meeting was held for the purpose of meeting with <br />Representative HacWilliam in order that possible legislation affecting this County by taUtion <br />and pursuant to Mr, MaeWili am's recent Inquiry addressed to the Count'! ' COM1081oners with ra- <br />!spect to possible Legislation. <br />Several Legislative bills were discussed, and it was the consensus of 40P opinion V <br />�i of those present that nam-Ieglslation should be introduced in the Coming Legislature with. r egard Ii <br />to supplementing the hospital drive with Race -Tract Funds if needed. <br />Also with regard to a flat filing fee for the Cleric Circuit Court with regard to civil <br />r� cases for both Circuit and County Courts. <br />Also with regard to requesting the State Road Department take over the maintenance <br />i. <br />gad operation of the peninsula road leading south from Riomar to the St. Lucie County, line. <br />11 <br />Also with regard to extending or enlarging the Indian River Mosquito Control District <br />requested <br />however this would be by the people residing in the area which is not at present a <br />11part of the Indian Aivor Mosquito Control District, <br />The Board agreed to Incur -,-expenses not to exeded the sum of $200.00 for additional <br />legal services as may be requested by Charles A. Mitchell, Attorney. <br />Notary Public bond for C. A. M., Tuesday, March 49 19479 in regular meeting with the1 <br />following members of the Board presents W. C. Graves' Jr., Chairman; Frank C. Vickers, R. W. <br />Graves, S. E. Glover. Absents Albert 0. Helseth. Also present were Charles A. Mitchell, <br />.Attbrh+ey; L. B. O'Steen, Sheriff; E. E. Carter, Engineer; and Douglas Bakerl'Clerk. <br />The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved* <br />a' upon application from Glenn and Mike Smith the Board agreed for them to care for and <br />[look after the Courthouse grounds, shrubbery, etc., and instructed Douglas Baker, Clerk$ to <br />(write 'a letter to Mr. Harry W. Damerow9 Superintendent of Public Works expressing the appreel- <br />ation of this Board for the services previously rendered by the City of Vero Beach with regard <br />to this work. <br />Jimmie Barry of Ft.
