SECTION 1- Technical Specifications <br />STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS <br />A. All work of this Contract shall conform to the applicable technical specifications of <br />Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge <br />Construction, 2015, and Supplemental Specification, Special Provisions and <br />addenda thereto, except as modified and supplemented hereinafter. Reference to <br />Article numbers herein -after apply to the FDOT Standard Specifications, and <br />reference in FDOT Standard Specifications to Department shall be taken as the <br />Owner or its appointed Representative. Wherever the Specifications, <br />Supplementals, etc. may refer to the "Owner", "Department", "State of Florida <br />Department of Transportation", or words relating to offices of State Government, <br />such words shall be taken as meaning Owner or Indian River County, Florida. <br />Wherever the word "Owner's Engineer", "District Engineer", "Engineer", "Project <br />Engineer", etc., appears, it shall be taken to mean the Registered Professional <br />Project Engineer of the Indian River County Public Works Department, Engineering <br />Division acting directly or through duly authorized representatives. Wherever the <br />,., word "Resident Engineer" appears, it shall be taken to mean an authorized <br />representative of the Owner's Engineer on the Project (Resident Construction <br />Inspector) who will act as an agent for Indian River County, assigned to observe <br />the progress quantity and quality of the work. <br />WWI <br />The work to be performed per sheet Bid item 1643-700 and all other utility work <br />shall conform to the applicable technical specifications of Indian River County <br />Department of Utility Services, Water, Wastewater, Utility Standards Dated March, <br />2014. <br />The work to be performed per line items 700 through 711 shall conform to the <br />applicable standards of Indian River County Typical Drawings for Pavement <br />Markings, Signing & Geometrics Dated March, 2012. <br />SECTION 4- SCOPE OF WORK <br />Section 4-3.9 Value Engineering Incentive is deleted in its entirety. <br />SECTION 101 - MOBILIZATION <br />The work specified in this section shall conform to Section 101 of the Florida Department of <br />Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. (2015 Edition) <br />Item of Payment <br />Payment for the work specified in this item shall be made under: <br />Bid Item No. 101-1 - Mobilization - Lump Sum <br />01025-1 Technical Specifications <br />F:\Public Works\ENGINEERING DIVISION PROJECTS\0225 20th Ave and 16th St Intersection Improvement\Admim\bid <br />documents\Master Contract Documents\Technical Specifications.doc <br />
