5. Valve Box Adjustments: <br />Cost of valve nut extenders shall be included in cost of valve box <br />adjustments where needed. <br />D. Disinfecting Potable Water Pipelines <br />Before being placed in service, all potable water pipelines shall be chlorinated in <br />,,. accordance with the latest edition of AWWA C-651, "Standard Procedure for <br />Disinfecting Water Mains", except that the use of tablets is strictly prohibited. The <br />procedure shall be approved by the Engineer. The location of the chlorination and <br />sampling points will be as specified by the Florida Department of Environmental <br />Protection, Water Distribution System Permit.
