County Administrator's Recommendation Exhibit G <br />ARTICLE 14 <br />UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT <br />14.01 The Employer will . . • •• . provide an initial <br />allotment, and replacement in accordance with Article 14.02, for trousers (style to be <br />determined by management), shirts, t -shirts, short -sleeve and long -sleeve polo shirts, shoes, <br />hats, win rs, ., ntc- ' ckets, job shirts, jumpsuits, cap, badge and name plate. The <br />Employer also will provide protective clothing and devices; bunker coat and bunker pants <br />made of Nomex or similar material, boots, helmets, shatter -resistant face shield, gloves, <br />safety glasses for welding and metal cutting, and any other safety equipment deemed <br />necessary by management. <br />14.02 Uniforms and protective clothing shall be worn, and devices used, in accordance with <br />District rules and this Agreement. The aforementioned items shall be replaced upon being <br />lost, or becoming worn or damaged as determined by management. All items to be replaced <br />must be returned to the Department before new items will be issued. Employees shall be <br />responsible for the replacement cost for any lost items, or items damaged through the <br />employee's negligence. Whenever practical, replacement will be made on the said <br />employee's scheduled shift. <br />14.03 The Employer, upon requests will provide bed linens, consisting of pillow cases, fitted <br />sheets and flat sheets. Such linens shall be replaced on an annual basis. <br />14.034 For Fire/Rescue personnel, the following station/work uniform policy will apply: <br />A. Class A B dress shirts will be worn when relieving personnel at <br />the stations as well as any planned out -of -station activity, i.e., in-service inspections, <br />public assembly, running errands, or when station tours are scheduled. <br />55 <br />
