Baird, County Administrator <br />From: Vincent Burke, P.E., Director of Utility Services <br />Prepared By: Arjuna Weragoda, P.E., Capital Projects Manager <br />Terry Southard, Utility Operations Manager t r <br />Subject: Amendment No.1 to WO No. 8 —Engineering Services for a New Package Waste <br />Water Treatment Facility at the Blue Cypress Wastewater Treatment Plant UCP - <br />4107 <br />DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS: <br />On October 21, 2014 the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approved Work <br />Order No. 8 to Masteller & Moler, Inc for engineering, specifications/bid documents, construction <br />observation and soils engineering to install a new package plant at the existing Blue Cypress <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br />Work order No. 8, did not include a site plan approval by Indian River County as a permitting <br />requirement. Therefore, the original scope needed to be amended to include additional <br />engineering services required to fulfill the site plan permitting requirement. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Per the CCNA procurement guidelines M&M submitted an amendment to Work Order No. 8 to <br />include engineering services needed to secure an Indian River County Community Development <br />"Site Plan" approval for the new replacement package plant. <br />Under the Continuing Contract Agreement for Professional Services with Masteller & Moler, Inc., <br />which was approved by the Board on November 15th, 2011, M&M submitted Amendment No.1 to <br />WO No. 8 to perform the work outlined above. The total negotiated cost to include the <br />engineering services is a lump sum amount of $9,620.00. This added to the current contract <br />amount of $40,320.00 results in a new contract amount of $49,940.00. <br />FUNDING: <br />Funds for this project are derived from the Capital budget in the operating fund.
