Kafer, Jr., P.E., County Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Change Order No. 3 and Release of Retainage <br />Gifford Park Ballfields Grading Improvements <br />IRC Project No. 1336 Bid No. 2014015 <br />DATE: April 2, 2015 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On December 10, 2013, the Indian River County Board of Commissioners awarded Bid No. <br />2014015 in the amount of $378,742.36 to Summit Construction of Vero Beach, LLC for <br />improvements to the Gifford Park Ballfields (Football Field, Senior Softball Field and Little <br />League Field) consisting of removal of existing grass, re -grading, re -grassing by sprigs and <br />irrigation upgrades and repairs, as well as installing new dugouts, street lights and providing <br />two new storage sheds on site. Change Order No. 1 and No. 2 subsequently raised the <br />contract price by $40,413.64 to a new total of $426,926.00. <br />The project has been completed and Change Order No. 3 is to make final adjustments to bid line <br />items to decrease the total contract price by $13,039.55 for a final contract price of $413,886.45 <br />and to add time to contract for delays caused primarily due to weather conditions. <br />Summit Construction of Vero Beach, LLC has been paid $385,256.02 to date, with $20,276.63 <br />held in retainage.
