Contract for Ratification <br /> ARTICLE 24 <br /> BEREAVEMENT LEAVE <br /> 24.01 Regular full time bargaining unit employees covered by this agreement shall be granted up to <br /> two shifts of leave with pay for death in their immediate family without charge to medical <br /> leave, annual leave, holiday time, or other accumulated time, subject to the terms of the <br /> applicable District Rules and Regulations. At the discretion of the Emergency Services <br /> Director or his designee,employees may split up the two shifts of leave with pay. <br /> 24.02 For the purpose of this article, the immediate family shall consist of Spouse, Children and <br /> Step-Children,Parents and Step-Parents,Grandmother,Grandfather,Grandchildren,Brother, <br /> Sister, Mother-in-Law, Father-in-Law, Son-in-Law, Daughter-in-Law, Sister-in-Law, <br /> Brother-in-Law,Grandmother-in-Law,Grandfather-in-Law,Step-brother,Step-sister,or <br /> Legal Guardian of the bargaining unit employee. <br /> 24.03 Employees shall be required to provide documentation within 90 days supporting their <br /> request for bereavement leave. <br /> 7 <br />
