Mora, P.E. cyv• <br /> Public Works Director <br /> FROM: Jeanne Br. %` <br /> Traffic An/ <br /> �� <br /> SUBJECT: Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation Agreement with the Florida <br /> Department of Transportation (FDOT) <br /> DATE: May 5, 2015 <br /> DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br /> The FDOT has prepared a Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation Agreement between the <br /> FDOT and Indian River County,to allow the County to receive funding from the FDOT for routine <br /> maintenance of the County-operated traffic signal system. The agreement will initially provide for <br /> $122,040.80 in funds in FY 2015/2016, with increased funding in subsequent years. <br /> ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br /> The attached Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation Agreement is a standard agreement <br /> similar to many agreements the County has executed in the past. The alternatives are as follows: <br /> Alternative No. 1 <br /> Approve the Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation Agreement and authorize the <br /> Board of County Commissioners Chairman's signature,on the traffic signal maintenance and <br /> compensation agreement and authorizing resolution. <br /> Alternative No. 2 <br /> Deny approval of the Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation agreement and cancel <br /> the project. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS & FUNDING <br /> Staffrecomm*ds Alternative No. 1 —approval of the Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation <br /> Agreement.
