Baird, County Administrator <br /> From: Vincent Burke, P.E., Director of Utility Services 0 <br /> Prepared By: Arjuna Weragoda, P.E., Capital Projects Manager Rw <br /> Subject: Work Order No. 2 with Atkins — West Regional WWTP 2015/2016 PERMIT <br /> RENEWAL <br /> DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> Indian River County Department of Utility Services (IRCDUS) operates the West Regional Wastewater <br /> Treatment Facility(WWTF) located on 8th Street west of 82nd Avenue. The plant is currently permitted <br /> for 6.0 MGD. The current IRCDUS West Regional WWTF, Permit No. FL0041637 will expire April 11, <br /> 2016. The renewal application is due 180-days prior to the expiration date referenced above. <br /> ANALYSIS: <br /> Staff requested that Atkins prepare a proposal to apply for the renewal of the existing WWTF <br /> wastewater permit. The scope of the renewal requirements are more specifically described in the <br /> attached Work Order No. 2. On November 4th, 2014, the Indian River County Board of County <br /> Commissioners approved the Extension and Amendment of the Continuing Contract Agreement for <br /> Professional Services with Atkins. The total negotiated cost for the permit renewal is a lump sum <br /> amount of$37,128.00. Consultant will prepare two copies of the permit package to be submitted to <br /> Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Southeast District. <br /> FUNDING: <br /> Funding for Work Order No. 2 is available in the Waste Water Treatment Other Professional Services <br /> account within the Utilities Operating Fund.
