In addition to enacting
a strong fertilizer ordinance, the County designated the authority to enforce the Indian River County
Fertilizer and Landscape Management Ordinance to a code enforcement officer within the County Public
Works Department (the "Enforcement Officer"). Neither the City nor the Town has a code enforcement
officer devoted full-time to enforcing its fertilizer ordinance. The City and the Town have both requested
that the County assist in the enforcement of their fertilizer ordinances in their jurisdictions through the use
of the Enforcement Officer.
Approved for June 2,2015 BCC Meeting Indian River Co.
