ZAHNISER, ESQ. <br /> ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Lowther, <br /> SECONDED by Commissioner Davis, the Board <br /> unanimously authorized County Attorney Collins to <br /> execute the Special Magistrate contracts for John A. <br /> Robinson, PA, MAI, and Julie A. Zahniser, Esq.. <br /> 8. AUTHORIZE THE SPECIAL MAGISTRATE TO CONDUCT <br /> THE 2006 HEARINGS AND APPROVE THE HEARING DATES — <br /> NOVEMBER 1 THROUGH NOVEMBER 17, 2006 <br /> ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Lowther, <br /> SECONDED by Commissioner Davis, the Board <br /> unanimously authorized the Special Magistrates to <br /> conduct the 2006 hearings November 1-17, 2006. <br /> County Attorney Collins updated the Board of the following schedule for hearings, and <br /> notified the Board that their final meeting may not take place until 2007. <br /> Exemption/Classification hearings—November 1,2,3, 2006 <br /> Valuation/Tangible hearings—November 8-9, and 16-17, 2006 <br /> Tentative reschedule dates: <br /> Exemption/Classification- Last Week in November <br /> Valuation/Tangible - December 12-13, 2006 <br /> Commissioner Davis commented that the VAB process seemed to be a waste of time. <br /> A brief discussion followed and Property Appraiser David Nolte commented that VAB was a <br /> result of property tax agents who were unhappy that decisions were not going in their favor. <br /> They wanted an unbiased process. <br /> 2006 Organizational Meeting - 3 <br /> Minutes 7-19-06 <br />
