(Clerk's Note: This item was heard following Item 13.A, and is <br /> placed here for continuity.) <br /> Director of Utility Services Vincent Burke reported that <br /> Tropical Exchange Corporation, d/b/a/ Tropical Recycling, will <br /> be taking over the processing of recycling from Resource <br /> Recovery Systems, LLC d/b/a/ ReCommunity, beginning <br /> October 1, 2015. <br /> ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Solari, SECONDED by <br /> Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously approved and <br /> authorized the Chairman to execute the First Amendment To <br /> and Assignment of Recyclables Transfer, Processing and <br /> Marketing Services Agreement and Estoppel between the Solid <br /> Waste Disposal District, ReCommunity, and Tropical <br /> Recycling. <br /> 11:27 3. Update on the Educational Component for the Upcoming Changes <br /> a.m. to the Recycling Program <br /> (memorandum dated July 2, 2015) 232-242 <br /> Director Burke introduced Stephanie Vos, the new Recycling <br /> Education and Marketing Coordinator for the Solid Waste <br /> Disposal District. <br /> Ms. Vos gave a PowerPoint Presentation outlining the three- <br /> month Recycling Education and Marketing Plan. <br /> ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED by <br /> Flescher, the Board unanimously approved the Recycling <br /> Education and Marketing Plan for the next three (3) months. <br /> The Chairman called a recess at 11:35 a.m. and reconvened the <br /> meeting at 1:30 p.m., with Commissioner Flescher joining <br /> shortly thereafter. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned at 11:35 a.m. <br /> Solid Waste Disposal District Page 2 <br /> July 14,2015 <br />
