COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' RECO TION <br />On motion of Commissioner Stewart, seconded by Commissioner Waddell, the following <br />resolution was adopteds <br />WHEREAS, THE State Road Depattment of Florida has authorized and requested Indian <br />River County to furnish the necessary rights of way and easements for that portion of Section <br />8807, State Road No. AlA, extending from St. Lucie County Line northerly to Beachland Avenue <br />in Vero Beach, which has been surveyed and located by the State Road Department as shown <br />by map on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of said County, and in the <br />office of the said Department at Tallahassee, and <br />WHEREAS, the said Department will not begin construction of said portion of said <br />Section in said County until title to all land necessary for said portion of said Section has <br />been' conveyed to or vested in said State by said County, and said lands physically cleared <br />of all occupants, tenants, fences, buildings and/or other structures situate upon or encroach- <br />ing within the limits of the lands required for said portion of said Section; now, therefore, <br />be it <br />RESOLVED, that said County, through its board of County Commissioners, comply with <br />the request of said Department and procure, convey or vest in said State the free, clear and <br />unencumbered title to all lands necessary for said portion of said Section, and deliver to the <br />State Road Department said lands physically clear of all occupants, tenants, fences, buildings <br />and/dr other structures situate upon or encroaching within the limits of lands required for <br />said portion of said Section, and that the Chaimman and the Clerk,of this Board be and they <br />are hereby authorized and directed to execute and --deliver, on behalf of said County to said <br />Department, the contract in the form hereto attached; and be it further <br />RESOLVED, that the Attorney for this Board be, and he is hereby authorized and dir- <br />ected to proceed to take the necessary steps for the County to acquire/the name of said <br />County by donation, purchase or condemnation said rights of way and easements for said portion <br />of said Section, and to prepare in the name of said County by its County Commissioners all <br />condemnation papers, affidavits and pleadings, and prosecute all condemnation proceedings to <br />judgment; and said Attorney is further authorized to have prepared at said County's expense, <br />and furnish to the Department, the abstract search provided for in said contract. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Stewart and carried, <br />the Board agreed to contribute hot to exceed $1500.00 for the twenty-fifth anniversary <br />County celebration to be held on or about June 7th. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Stewart, seconded by Commissioner Waddell, and unan- <br />imously carried, the Board agreed to pay the FEC Railroad the sum of $275.50 for Right-of-way <br />Deed and to pay R. S. Juve the sum of $600.00 for Right-of-way Deed, and to pay Walter S. <br />Buckingham and wife for a Quit -Claim -Deed, and the Federal Land Bank of Columbia for a Quit - <br />Claim Deed the sum of $100.00, and that the County agrees to that prior to the performances <br />of a#y work upon the land covered in the Quit -Claim Deed that the County will cut off the <br />existing artesian well on the property described in the Quit -Claim Deed, and pipe the same <br />to the east right-of-way line of the new right-of-way established by the Quit -Claim Deed. <br />Ali of these payments to be made on the procurement of rights-of-way for the State Road De- <br />partment on project known as "Oslo Overpass Road 5, Job No. 8801-302'. <br />Notary Public Bond for Margaret H. Cornelis in the sum of $500,00 with Maryland <br />Casualty Company as surety was approved by Douglas Baker, Clerk Circuit Court March 8 a <br />provided 1y law. <br />
