WHEREAS, the votes cast in said election have been returned, tallied and convassed; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the results of the canvass of said election has been certified to this <br />Board by the Board of Public Instruction of Indian River County, Florida; NOW THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED, that it is hereby determined by the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County, Florida, that the total number of qualified electors, being <br />registered freeholders residing in Special Tax School District No. 1, Indian River County, <br />Florida, qualified to participate in said special election, was 2839 qualified electors; <br />and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the total number of votes cast in said election°,Wes,- <br />in favor of the approval of the_fonds, the issue in said election vas <br />2057, and the total number of votes cast in said election against the approval of said bonds, <br />the issue of said election was 187, and the total number of spoiled ballots cast in said <br />election was 0, and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a majority of the freeholders who are qualified <br />electors residing in Special Tax School District No. 1, Indian River County, Florida, <br />participated in said special election and a Majority of the votes cast in said special <br />election were cast in favor of approving the issuance of said bonds. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Stewart seconded by Commissioner Waddell and carried, <br />the Board agreed to pay the officials who conducted the Primary elections held May 2 and, 23, <br />1950, on the following basis. Daytime Boards and Deputy Sheriffs $8.00 per day; Night-time <br />Boards $1.00 per hour. Two dollars for persongdelivering ballot box plus 5¢ mileage. Rental <br />of polling places, where requested, $3.00 per day. <br />The Indian River Citrus Bank and -the -First Federal Savings and Loan Associations <br />Vero Beach, Florida,havingfiled proper application,request to be named and designated County <br />Depository for the year 1950-1951, and upon motion made by Commissioner tewart, seconded. <br />bank <br />by Commissioner Waddell and carried' it was ordered such//spN-and-such Savings and Loan <br />—ssoeiat n be designated as the County Depository for the following funds. <br />GENERAL REVENUE FUND <br />ROAD AND BRIDGE FUND <br />FINE AND FORFEITURE rail') <br />MOTHER'S PENSION Fun) <br />SPECIAL ROAD & BRIDGE DISTRICT NO. 1 <br />ROAD AND BRIDGE 7th -CENT GAS TAX FUND <br />INTEREST AND SINKING FUND <br />COURT HOUSE BONDS SINKING FUND <br />SPECIAL ROAD & BRIDGE DISTRICT NO. 4 <br />COUNTY OFFICERS EXCESS FEE FUND <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY JAIL IMPROVEMENT FUND <br />The depository bond set at the sum of $150,000.00 to constitute only of U. S.
