Results will be reported on a <br /> regular basis to the Economic Development Council. <br /> Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) <br /> A. Business Retention/Expansion - Manufacturing Industry <br /> 1) Action: Launch e-Synchronist software,to electronically track information <br /> gathered during business retention visits <br /> Anticipated results: <br /> Generate reports showing industry trends; challenges to be addressed <br /> within industry sector; general business climate for industry <br /> 2) Action: <br /> - Coordinate three manufacturers' tours for the general public <br /> -Participate in the National Manufacturing Day activities, including public <br /> tours,print and social media blasts, presentations <br /> -Facilitate and encourage contract and vendor sourcing opportunities <br /> between local manufacturers <br /> Anticipated results: <br /> -Increased awareness by the general public of the economic impact of a <br /> diversified economy <br /> -Increase in local manufacturing activity resulting in increased production <br /> and job growth <br /> 3) Action: Conduct regular site visits to targeted industries,providing information <br /> on programs available <br /> Anticipated results: <br /> -Average 2-3 companies visited per quarter, gathering information on <br /> potential expansion opportunities, or deterrents to leaving the county <br /> -Increased awareness of local, state and federal programs by local <br /> manufacturers that can benefit, and ultimately expand,their operations <br /> I <br /> 150 <br />
