L� <br />i <br />I <br />D <br />TUESDAY. <br />APRIL <br />5th,. <br />1927. <br />as to <br />the class of <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for <br />Indian <br />River <br />County, Florida, met <br />at the Court House in Vero Beach, on Tuesday April 5th 1927t at 10 . o' clock A.M.with <br />the following members of the Board present: John H.Atki.n, Chairman; Geo.A.Braddock ; <br />J.T.DaBruce; J.J.P.Hamilton and O.O.Helseth. Also present were Tiles Warren, Clerk <br />and J.7. Knight, Sheriff. <br />The Minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. <br />It was ordered that the sum of 440.00 be donated to the 31oman's Club, for payment <br />on County Nurse car, which is used as official County car. <br />The report of the Grand Jury empaneled for the Spring term of the Circuit Court <br />was read by the Clerk to_ the Board. <br />The Notary Public bond of FX.Heiser in the sum of $500.00 with the American <br />Surety Company, a corporation, as surety wa.s approved. <br />The Deputy Sheriff bond of Be W. Knight, in. the sum of - x$1,000.00 with Fred Be <br />Ring and L. P. Simmons, as sureties was approved. <br />It was ordered that the County Engineer repaid causeway at Quay Bridge and charge <br />same to the Quay Bridge District, which is to be paid for when the District is in <br />a position to do so. <br />Ordered that the County Engineer repair the streets and avenues of the City of <br />7abasso in accordance with resolution of the City Council and charge to the City, same <br />to be deducted from the pro-rato amount of Road & Bridge taxes that will be due the <br />City from the 1926. assessment roll. <br />In <br />compliance with -request from <br />the State <br />Road Department <br />as to <br />the class of <br />road to <br />be built on State Road No. 4, <br />from 'Pero <br />Beach to South <br />County <br />line, the Board <br />went on record as favoring a concrete highway. <br />It was ordered that the. Reams road between the present Dixie Highway and State <br />Road No. 4 be made 16 feet wide instead of 9 feet as per present plans. <br />The following checks were received on account of work done for private parties <br />and sale of materials: <br />Lewis Be Ury..................01d.7O <br />VE. Be Cobb....... ............. 84.30 <br />X264.29 <br />which was ordered placed in the Road & Bridge Fund of the County. <br />The several bills against the County, having been audited, were examined and app- <br />roved and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. The said bills and accounts <br />being on file in the Clerk's office and made a part of these minutes. <br />The several County Depositories of the County filed their monthly statement of <br />accounts, which after being audited were found to be correct. <br />There being no farther business, on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />then adjourned. <br />ATTE` <br />Clerk. <br />11 <br />
